VP of Institutional Advancement/Executive Director of the Paine Foundation

Reports To: The President

Terms of Employment: Twelve Months

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Vice President of Institutional Advancement has primary responsibility for assisting the President in administering, planning and supervising the college's fundraising campaigns, assisting with managing the office directors within the Advancement unit, and managing the scholarships gifts and endowment stewardship.  The VP will also serve as Executive Director of the Paine Foundation.  

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing major support to the President
  • Responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating all College funding activities
  • Responsible for developing programs, projects and designing appropriate fundraising strategies, including solicitation, direct mail efforts/annual giving, and special events/recognition
  • Responsible for management and leadership of all unit office directors
  • Responsible for management and leadership in Endowment stewardship
  • Provide support with all Scholarship gifts and honors program
  • Responsible for assisting in supervising and evaluating the performance assigned staff; recommending the selection, retention, leave and /or promotion of assigned staff
  • Responsible for developing and managing divisional budget
  • Oversee staff from offices that report to the Office of Institutional Advancement including Communications and Marketing: Institutional Development, Alumni Affairs, Sponsored Programs, Transportation, Endowed Scholarships, Athletic Compliance and other staff assigned by the Office of the President
  • Serve as a member of the Administrative Council
  • Serve as a member of the Committee on Strategic Planning and Evaluation
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by the President

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or more than 10 years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Additional Qualifications include

  • Knowledge of Mission, principles, procedures, and regulations governing the College.
  • Thorough understanding of institutional policies, goals, and objectives.
  • Ability to competently perform professional level administrative and financial projects in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Good oral and written communication skills coupled with internal and external contacts.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in related computer-based software applications.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal skills.

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Professional Development Plan (PDP) and /or the College's evaluation instrument for faculty/staff.
